From your first tap onwards, the 24/48/72-hour countdown runs. Metro gates, bus and tram validators, CP station gates — the same card unlocks all of them. At museums, show the card at the door.
Prices are set by Turismo de Lisboa and are valid until 31 March 2027. Children up to 3 travel and enter for free — they don't need their own card.
| Duration | Adult | Child (4–15) |

The Lisboa Card is only worth it if you use it. Here's what two typical Lisbon days actually add up to.

Iconic monuments, timeless views, hidden gems — 52 sites in Lisbon and the surrounding region, all free with your Lisboa Card.

Lisbon's UNESCO showpiece in Belém — Manueline architecture at its peak, resting place of Vasco da Gama. Timed reservation required.
The 16th-century riverside fortress that guarded the Tejo — narrow stairs, panoramic top. Timed reservation required.
A lift inside a pillar of the 25 de Abril bridge — glass-floor platform 80 metres above the Tejo. Vertigo included.
The white baroque dome above Alfama — resting place of Fado legend Amália Rodrigues. Roof terrace gives one of the city's best 360° views.
The 56-metre limestone caravel on the Belém waterfront, dedicated to Portugal's explorers. Elevator up for one of the best Belém panoramas.
Belle Époque wrought-iron elevator linking Baixa to Chiado — a 45-metre neo-gothic tower with a viewing deck up top.
The historic yellow tram through Estrela, Chiado, Alfama, Graça — plus the Bica, Glória and Lavra funiculars. All included, no extra fare.
All four Metro lines, every CARRIS bus and tram (including the iconic Tram 28), all three historic funiculars, the Santa Justa lift, plus CP suburban trains to Sintra, Cascais and Azambuja and FERTAGUS trains to Setúbal. Nothing to add, nothing to top up.
Straight past the ticket line at the Castelo de São Jorge, Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, the National Tile Museum, the Ajuda National Palace and 47 more — museums, monuments, palaces, viewpoints, all included.
10–25 % off at the Oceanário, Lisbon Zoo, MAAT, Pena Palace, Sintra National Palace, Queluz, the Cable Car in Parque das Nações, plus city tours, river cruises and select restaurants.
Being honest saves you money. The card is a solid deal for most Lisbon visitors — but there are three profiles where a different ticket makes more sense.
If you just need airport transfers and metro rides, a CARRIS/Metro day-pass at €7.25 beats the 24 h card. Break-even against the Lisboa Card is roughly one museum entry.
Spending all your time in Sintra with no Lisbon sightseeing? Sintra's own combo tickets (Pena + Moorish Castle, Pena + Sintra Palace) plus the individual CP train ticket often work out cheaper than a 24 h Lisboa Card.
If your entire visit is 3–4 hours at Belém between flights, single tickets for Jerónimos (€18) and Belém Tower (€15) are simpler than picking up a card you'll barely use.
Two of Lisbon's most popular monuments require a free timed reservation — and reservations can only be made after you've picked up your physical card. In peak season, good slots go fast. Here's what to do about it.
